Geoffrey Pfaff,

Pastor

Geoff Pfaff has been the Pastor of La Habra Hills Presbyterian Church since January 2001. Geoff was born in New Jersey, grew up in southeast Texas and moved to Southern California in high school. After earning a degree in Economics from Pepperdine University, he worked with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship before graduating from Fuller Seminary. He and his wife, Sally spent 17 years pastoring churches in Oklahoma before being called to La Habra Hills. They and their three children moved to La Habra while their kids were in school, and now all are married and Geoff and Sally have four grandchildren.

Geoff loves coming alongside people as they journey through life and one of the joys of his role at LHHPC is to be able to witness as people begin to grasp what God is doing in their lives and slowly take ownership of their role in the Church, using the gifts they have been given. “What an incredible joy it is to be a part of some of the most significant moments in the lives of people – from birth to teenage years to marriage to building families of their own to living out the final years of life.” Geoff looks forward to continuing to help this congregation immerse themselves in the Word, serve our community and expose others to the love of Jesus Christ, and extend the call to follow Jesus to those around us. “What a privilege it is to be a part of such a task; what a gift to be disciples of this God of grace and glory.”

Jerry Haraguchi,

Director of Family Ministry

Families come in all different shapes and sizes. Our family ministry seeks to see all families strengthened, growing in faith and enfolded into the family of families that is La Habra Hills. As Director of Family Ministry, Jerry sees his role as coming alongside families to provide support, guidance and encouragement as they navigate the complicated and often crazy world of today and to provide bridges into the larger faith family of the church.

Jerry’s 25+ years of ministry experience with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the church, along with a Masters of Theology from Fuller Seminary help him to minister to families and the family of families that is La Habra Hills. But what is probably most helpful in his role with families is his own family—his wife, Kelly and their two teenage daughters, Ashley and Courtney. Journeying together and navigating faith and life has taught him a wealth of lessons along the way; lessons that he loves to share with others. To Jerry, there is nothing better than seeing a family learn to hold tight to Jesus and walk together through the mountaintops as well as the valleys of life together. Being able to walk alongside and connect them more deeply to Jesus and to the church is a blessing that Jerry will always cherish.
