That’s right, the SOUPer bowl is coming on SuperBowl Sunday!
It’s a long-standing tradition here at La Habra Hills to host our annual Souper Bowl where we collect cans of soup and dollars to support our local food pantries.
This year, we’re calling it the Doug Whyte Memorial Souper Bowl because of Doug’s creative influence on how we hold the Souper Bowl. As you come into worship that Sunday morning, you’ll see a box representing each team in the Super Bowl. Place your soup cans or dollars into the box you predict will win the football championship later that afternoon. We’ll see how well we do at predicting the winner as we announce our results shortly after worship.
So get your soup ready and help support the food insecure in our community.
